Austrian Chamber of Commerce
Hong Kong & Macau

About us

History

The Austrian Chamber of Commerce (AustroCham) was established on the 5th of December 2003 and was officially inaugurated by the then Austrian Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner. In 2005, the organization merged with the Hong Kong Austrian Association, which had been established in 1990. On the 4th of August 2020, the Companies Registry officially changed our name to the Austrian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong & Macau giving us the opportunity to extend our coverage to Macau.

Launch of our Logo

In March 2004 our AustroCham logo, courtesy of the famous Austrian brand designer, Mr. Henry Steiner, was launched in a ceremony attended by Dr. Martin Bartenstein (then Austrian Minister of Economy and Labour) and Mr. John Tsang (then Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology of the Hong Kong SAR Government).
