We are pleased to share an exciting update from the Royal Geographical Society (Hong Kong) regarding the Young Geographer of the Year 2026 (YGOTY.hk) competition.
An early bird prize has been awarded to a talented student from the German Swiss International School Hong Kong, a wonderful achievement that highlights the creativity and geographical awareness og young learners in our community.
The competition remains open for submission until 31 March 2026 and welcomes entries from primary and secondary students across Hong Kong. Participants are invited to submit a visual piece, accompanied by a short written explanation, exploring one og the competition temes: Nature, People & Culture, Urbandscape, or Critical Eye.
This initiative provides and inspiring platform for young people to observe, interpret and communicate geographical perspectives on the world around them.
